Simonsays grew up in Downtown Phoenix. His father’s Funeral Home was in front of his house where he lived, so Simon could sing in the halls of a long carport, which produced an Echo, that as a Kid he was chase as he said with his voice. He would go back and forth from the main chapel to the Carport where he could hear his voice to try to sound like different Vocal Masters of the Art. This allowed him to change his tune and pitch quickly trying to sound like famous Singers.

His whole family are musically inclined, most either play an instrument or sing, so he started to see how the voice can be used as an instrument in itself, by changing the pitch and notes creating harmonies on his own as he recorded himself. Therefore, he learned it is possible to sing very low/baritone to a high/falsetto. This allows him to change and sing just about anything from R & B, Country, Rock and Roll, to Opera, silly songs, Romantic, Alternative to Reggae. At one point in his life he could sound just like Minnie Rippleton, singing Whistle notes.  Simonsays he is not perfect, but he is very Versatile.
